The 147.100 and 443.000 (Rainbow) repeaters are located near the intersection of Northern and Rainbow in Rio Rancho.
The 443.100 (Pajarito) repeater is located on Pajarito Peak, SSE of Cuba.
The 147.080 (La Madera) repeater is located at Sandoval County La Madera Fire Station 28 in Sandia Park. In addition to providing coverage on the east side of Sandia Mountain, in Cochiti, and in Los Alamos, it hears very well in many locations on the west side of the mountain. These four repeaters are normally linked together.
The 444.180 (Portable) repeater is not normally on the air. This briefcase repeater will be field deployed for events that require localized coverage. SCARES members are advised to pre-program this repeater into their radios.
We also sometimes link to the Intel Emergency Amateur Radio System (IEARS) Repeater on 444.7000 for better repeater coverage in the Bosque areas of Rio Rancho, Corrales, and Albuquerque. This repeater is located on top of the Intel RR7 building, and has a positive offset with a 100hz PL Tone.
*Note: Allstar and Echolink connections are currently offline while we resolve linking issues
All SCARES linked repeaters are open for use by any properly licensed Amateur Radio Operator.
