La Madera Repeater Site

La Madera Repeater VHF Coverage Map

The SCARES Repeater at the La Madera Site is located at the La Madera Fire Station, approximate GPS location 35°15’03.7″N 106°21’02.2″W. The 25 Watt repeater in 147.08Mhz (standard offset, CTCSS Tone 100hz) is currently in a stand-alone mode as a linking radio or internet is not available at this location yet. The Comet omni-directional ground-plane antenna sits on a tower at approximately 50ft height. As such it still has excellent coverage over the entire East Mountain area of Sandoval County, as well as some coverage south of I-40 into Tijeras. It also has coverage into the Eastern Jemez Mts and Some of Santa Fe, and even some fringe coverage into the west of the Sandias and Rio Rancho. During the Sandoval County ARES Nets on Monday nights @ 1930 hrs, this repeater is usually monitored, if you would like to check in via this frequency.
