Pajarito Peak Repeater Site

Pajarito Peak Repeater UHF Coverage Map
(click on map for a larger PDF version)

The Pajarito Peak Repeater Site sits on top of a high ridge at 35°41’46.4″N 106°51’32.2″W, on the western edge of the Jemez Mountains, overlooking highway US 550. It has a commanding view of the entire Cabezon / Rio Puerco basin, and provides excellent coverage of this area, from North of Cuba and south into the adjoining counties. Pajarito Peak is currently connected to the SCARES Rainbow repeaters via a link radio system, however we are currently working on a new 5Ghz link system, which would free up our current link radio for use at La Madera, bringing all SCARES repeaters back into the system as intended. The Pajarito Repeater uses a 25 watt Kenwood repeater radio and a 4 bay dipole antenna mounted on the tower. There is an AGM backup battery for the radio, as well as a Generator for the building, which is shared with several other entities.
