Bike MS (MS 150) Fundraising Event

Bike MS (MS 150).  The 2021 Covid version of the annual fundraiser to fight multiple sclerosis will be a one-day ride.  The event organizers count on radio amateurs for essential medical, safety, and logistics communications support year after year.  This year the ride will follow a shortened, 75-mile route beginning in Albuquerque, heading south on South Broadway/NM 47 through Isleta and Los Lunas to Belen, looping north on NM 314, rejoining NM 47, and returning to the start.  Shorter rides of 44 and 22 miles will be included.  Part of the route will be on the Bosque bike trail.  We will need volunteers to operate mobile and, if possible, bicycle mobile along course segments with the riders as “eyes and ears” for the event organizers or perhaps as sag vehicles.  We will need additional volunteers to operate from fixed locations at the rest stops.  Covid precautions will be implemented as conditions warrant.
